Bio

Huoratron is the musical solo project of Aku Raski, a bearded powerplant of a man. With his harsh and hardly danceable sounds he has tried to rock dancefloors for years already.

Behind the name (“Whore-a-tron”) is Aku Raski, who was involved in the retro electro group Nu Science around the turn of the century, and released his solo debut “Koottava” MCD in 2000. In year 2002 Huoratron was born, first as a project, where Raski very effectively used two Game Boy consoles to produce experimental electro.house

Since then, he’s updated his gear but maintained the tough sound and raw aesthetics. This spring finally saw the release of Huoratron’s debut EP “$$ Troopers”. As a member of the New Judas collective, Huoratron has found its place among the movement in raw electronic dance music led by such names as Daft Punk, Justice and Boys Noize.

X-Large decided on faux snakeskin uppers to cover the classic sneaker in a multi-colored fashion. The classic X-Large gorilla finds his way onto the tongue. and is hidden behind multi-colored laces. Only 500 pair were created, and with X-Large’s popularity, these will likely move quickly.

You can create you own layout to control over Ableton, Reason, Cubase, etc. But the main concern that holding me back for getting this is the price tag. =.= too pricey and i don't think i can afford one at this moment. Went to Sunburst 2009 last weekend, i had an awesome experience! Been listening to Korn for like 15 years? This is the 1st time ever i see them on stage performing live! This might be the first and the last time i see the in live. I believe there's a very slim chance for Korn and N.E.R.D. to come back to Malaysia to perform again, you know why i say so if you were there.

Besides that there's only little crowd there for Skye from Morcheeba, compare to other international artist. She sang with her beautiful voice and i can see crowds are enjoying it so much.

Too bad i don't have like to SUPER DSLR camera or else i will take lots of pics. hahahaha.... Hopefully the line up for next year sunburst will be bigger than this year.

Just bought this last week, and this is the 1st time i bought an original CD after N years. I can't believe i cope it for only RM49.40 (approx. $14.70). This is the greatest hits of TEXAS. It contains 2 audio CDs and a Video DVD. It worth every penny.

Other than this i found out the prices of original CDs have dropped surprisingly. The latest album of Portishead "Third" only selling for RM29.90 (approx. $8.80). Maybe its time to support our favorite artist by buying some legit CDs than wasting time downloading it...

This is the hyperstrike version of the Stash Air Force 1 low. Almost identical to the Tier 0 release, these feature a lasered Stash design on the heel of the left shoe. Adding a unique twist, the right shoe features artwork courtesy of Futura. These were only 48pairs made in 2003.

Finally my shoes arrived!!! Loving them~

After having them on hand, personally think that AM90 looks nicer when you wear it rather than the Current.

It looks really dope in black color but i don't know why, it just looks weird... maybe its current and its new hybrid shoe? Can't really get along with it yet, but maybe soon or later i will just get used to it, or maybe in love with 'em, who knows???

By coincidentally found out a funny part of the shoe. It looks exactly like the kaws skull from the XX and the sole, what an interesting scence... Maybe Kaws did it in this way, hehehehe... It's a must buy shoe, should cope it if you have the chance.

My 3rd set of monome

After a long que for more than 6months finally i got my actual 64 in my hand now. Very good finishing but its smaller than the 2 monome i had, but still it looks cute :D Button LEDs are orange color and the button is smaller than the previous batch monome. Just tried it out with DJ64 patch, good feel on button and it has a classy outlook. It worth the penny but not the tax (it cost me USD60$+ for tax).

The Nike SB Zoom Air Verona Premium, the Nike SB slip-on, has just arrived at Fightclub Footwear. They got in the slip-on sneaker in a canvas/leater mix in a black/black colorway with the elephant print being present on all leather parts. The gum sole is a nice finish on the shoe.

This is a live show that i saw before thru somewhere that i can't really remember. It was an extraordinary liveset by 2 top DJ in the world Fatboy Slim VS. Armand Van Helden. This livest was held in Brixton Academy in year 1999. Both of them were spinning on a boxing ring! Its was a 3 round spinning session starting by Armand Van Helden on the 1st round with a 64 minutes of spinning. 2nd round was Fatboy Slim turn with a 68 minutes of funky big beat! The 3rd and last round was the climax of the show, Fatboy Slim and Armand Van Helden team up spinning in ring!!!

The camera crews at the door indicate that something very special is happening tonight, as you walk upto Brixton Acadamy past hundreds of fans desperate to get their hands on the last few tickets for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see two of the worlds biggest DJs in action - at the same time. Cut La Roc is already entertaining the quickly expanding crowd on the dance floor (there is no stage or anything like that - just a full scale rotating boxing ring, with a huge rig of video screens hovering above it. Throughout the night these screens are filled with live streams of the DJs in action, and the resultant ker-azy dancing from the people lucky enough to be ring-side. Like me. Full shots of my face were subjected to the thousands of die-hard fatboy-fans, at least twenty or thirty times we looked up to see our faces the size of a two story building - it pays to get there early for a gig like this. Cut La Roc seemed to have a great time warming the crowd up - he’s one of the friendliest DJs I have met in recent times - it was strange that I was one of only a handful of people interested in talking to him as he was packing his gear up, as he has the world record breaking talent to be one of the big stars of the future - from Skint’s beginnings he’s always been second only to Fatboy Slim as far as I’m concerned, and his new mix album FSUK4* reiterates this.

To much applause and cheering, Armand Van Helden enters the ring from one side, accompanied by an understandably large group of security men, and a geezer wielding the star-spangled banner. The unexpectedly short Van Helden drops his silk gown and removes his boxing gloves to reveal he’s dressed up for the part - customised basketball top, loads of jewellery - everything about him says ‘I’m trendy, me’. On the giant video screens we now see Norman Cook entering the ring from the other side of the arena. The crowd goes radio rental. Norman disrobes to reveal.. a Hawaiian shirt and jeans… and no-one bats an eye-lid. Norm and Armand start the theatrics at the front of the ring - forehead against forehead they stare each other out during the coin-toss to decide who will attempt to win over the crowd for an hour with their Dj-ing skills first. Armand wins the toss and elects to go first, and immediately sets about playing an impressive hour-long set of new york house an garage, starting with his forthcoming single The Boogie Monster. However impressed the crowd is with Armand’s DJ antics, they don’t really get going until he plays his number one hit single You Don’t Know Me, then die down again until Brixton boys Basement Jaxx’ Rendez-vu is dropped as a set closer.

To yet more applause Norman Cook arrives, and thrusts a litre bottle of vodka in the air - the crowd respond to every action he makes - Fatboy Slim is the Robbie Williams of the DJ world - a natural performer, with heaps of talent. On the dance-floor a whole different mood has been created just by Norman’s appearance - everyone spent the whole hour jumping up and down like an extremely happy yo-yo. Tracks incorporated in probably the best hour of live mixing I’ve heard all year, included that Des Lynam cover of Rockafeller Skank, Fucking In Heaven, Chemical Brother’s Hey Boy Hey Girl, Leftfield’s Phat Planet, Everybody Needs A 303, Right Here Right Now, Fatboy Eminem (Hi My Name Is The Funk Soul Brother), Satisfaction Skank (I Can’t Get No Funk Soul Brother), Kung Fu Fighting, and even the Kinks made a much welcomed appearance towards the end of the set.

After 4 hours, what we’d all been waiting for began - Ambidextrous - Armand Van Helden on the right deck, Fatboy Slim on the left deck for two hours, non-stop tunes from the likes of Bob Marley, plus many other peculiar choices including TLC - No Scrubs, Jungle Brothers - I’ll House You ‘98, Tori Amos - Professional Widow, Wildchild - Renegade Master (Original), You Don’t Know Me (Again), and Praise You as a very fitting finish to the event of the year. Although most people considered it to be Norman’s night, it wouldn’t have been half as fun without Armand (With his endless supply of tricks, including slowing down one record to about 10BPM, then speeding it back up to 300BPM or so, whilst mixing it with another top track) or Cut La Roc for that matter - as there was effectively two hours of Fatboy Slim, we didn’t get bored for one minute.

Selvage denim (also called selvedge denim) is a type of denim which forms a clean natural edge that does not unravel. Coming from the phrase "self-edge", the natural edge of a roll of fabric. Usually, exists on denim made from old-style shuttle looms. These looms weave fabric with one continuous cross thread (the weft) that is passed back and forth all the way down the length of the bolt. As the weft loops back into the edge of the denim it creates this "self-edge" or Selvage.

As the name suggests, only the edges of a full roll of denim where used to produce these one of a kind sneakers. Leaving the mid section unused. Selvage is desirable because the edge can't fray like lower grade denims that have separate wefts which leave an open edge that must be stitched. In this case, the selvage sits perfectly on the top of the midsoles like its supposed to be aesthetically. Exposing an unusual selvage that resembles the pure luxury.

Also breaking the boundaries of a factory made shoe, the selvaged lined midsole of the "paramount" could only be made through a D.I.Y process.

Sample - Usually a test shoe that will be released in the future or made to see if any changes need to be made. Also, a sample may be made, but never released in stores and the common "Sample" sizes are 3.5 Youth, 7 Women, 9 Men. Although there are "Samples" that exist that are in bigger sizes, this is very rare.

Prototype - Sample that is never released may be called a "Prototype" (in most cases the first model)

A) 06.07 BOX TEE
首先拿最重要的BOX來說

SUPREME的07BOX用的是第一次改版的TEE 印刷上面有改變

這裡幫大家整理出來:

06發了這幾種配色 i)黑底紫box ii)深藍底淺藍box iii)白底粉紅box
iv) 蘋果綠底淺藍box v)淺藍底紅色box vi)紫底黃色box vii)紅底深藍box
06的部份還是用舊的tee 所以box摸起來會有點粗操很像油漆一樣厚厚的

至於07的部份配色 i)黑底黑box ii)白底紅box iii) 蘋果綠底蘋果box
iv)水藍底水藍box v) 灰底紅box vi)紅底紅box vii) 橘底橘box

********重點來了!!!!!!********

07的box印刷有改變他是變的很像水印的box 就是你摸起來不會那麼粗操
好像油漆乾掉的感覺但是!!

灰底的box會有像油漆的感覺因為灰色的supreme tee其實材質上不會是完全純綿
還有灰底的box這次也不是寫90% cotton 10% polyester
真的碰過很多的人會知道supreme的標籤上面會寫100% cotton的字眼
而**灰色的TEE會寫上 90% cotton 10% polyester

06以前寫在標的後面現在新版都是寫在前面
但是!!! ****07灰色的box不是這樣寫他也是寫著100% cotton
但是07除了灰色以外其他顏色的box都變成水印版的

我自己手上有兩灰兩白兩黑兩藍07 box
日前又收到一灰一白一黑一藍07 box 我可以很確定灰色上面來說是special case

至於亮面的話除了灰色以外的其他有出現亮面都是有問題的
像假如你拿到黑色的TEE印刷很像油漆那就應該有很大的問題

那我們來看看其他的supreme tee

***我特別喜歡灰色的如果有人有拿灰色的PE TEE(PE 這季的ENEMY灰底紅BOX)就會發現

他的紅色BOX也是呈現比較亮面的但是黑色的就比較不是亮面

***NEIGHBORHOOD X SUPREME TEE 也可以很明顯看見白底的是比較亮面

黑底是比較像水印的
其他以此類推 SUPREME的TEE亮面與否真的不能拿來當作真假的標準

B) 領子的部份來說 *****領子2cm的迷思真的不是標準!!*****

這個拿來當標準真的是笑話
這個標準真的很諷刺

因為SUPREME本身的TEE自從06秋冬以後就換公司做了
他現在可以說是沒有品管(QC, quality control)可言

你說領子証的一定是2CM 那根本不能當標準
因為有一些真的真的會不同很明顯的不同
你拿同一季同一款的兩件來看他的領寬不一定相同

因為SUPREME通常出一款TEE是分很多個堆(BATCH)
不同的BATCH都會有些微的不同
就算你拿去問店員他們也不會知道有什麼差別
因為就是沒有QC可言

*****之前很大的一個議題香港歷史很久的SUPREME轉賣店

SUB-URB.NET就被一個星加坡的買家告
因為那個買家也是假聰明說他拿到兩件滑板TEE 比對起來發現
跟一些06其他的TEE有些微的差別那真的是很白痴
他最後也是摸摸鼻子自認誤會

****我可以跟大家說 SUPREME直營管轄下面的BUYER

一年接觸的TEE一定超過2000件他們要拿到更多也可以
只是看有沒人要拿
不管是店員還是其管轄下面的BUYER都知道 SUPREME的衣服構造
會有差別這是100%確定的事實
所以領子真的不是標準!!

C) 購物袋和標籤

購物袋可以看的出來這很容易 SUPREME的購物袋有最少三個規格
美國店跟日本店的袋子以前有差別現在應該慢慢統一了
標籤的話這個我同意是正確的

仿間有很多特A考
***這裡大家注意其實自從06A/W以後就很少有特A
原因是因為版型已經差很多要仿也沒有那麼容易

但是標籤真的是可以看出有所不同
所謂的不同是真品的標籤會是比較"偏橘"的紅色

你看到他是紅的但不是血紅
而我之前看到特A考的標籤是血紅的這個以前就有看過
所以應該是很有說服力的

Supreme Dunk Low

Since the 1st day i was into the game of Nike Dunk SB, the passion for me towards Supreme Dunk Low has never changed and it will never happened. As i said, i can name Supreme Dunk Low as my All-time favorite and it will be top of the list among all the Dunk SB out there. Recently i found back an article i read awhile ago in SneakerFreaker, it's an article bout his(Nikolai) love for Supreme Dunk Low. I agreed with almost everything he said, and maybe you should read it as well to understand why you should fall in love with Supreme Dunk Low...

With the decade far from over, and many more shoes to tantalise our feet, I know i’m going out on a limb here. Some of you may nod in agreement, others may care to scream bullshit!, but here I go – the most significant shoe of this decade was the Supreme Dunk low. Furthermore, I readily concede that this release was no more than ‘yet another colourway’ of a shoe that’s already more than 20 years old (albeit one that’s been given the nike SB upgrade).

I don’t own a pair, and as much as the truth hurts, I never will. I love sneakers, but I am never going to pay upwards of a grand (us) for a pair. So how can i get excited or passionate about a pair of shoes that I know will never grace my plates of meat? I can’t believe I am able to write this, but this shoe represented a ‘tipping point’ in sneaker culture for several reasons that i will go on to discuss.
Controversy clouded the shoe before it even hit the shelves at the end of October 2002. Mystery still surrounds how a handful hit the market in August ahead of the official release, quickly gaining value on the secondary market (that’s continued to grow steadily ever since). Clever exploitation of Nike’s ordering system to order shoes direct from the warehouse was one explanation doing the rounds at the time. Even before the rise of internet saturation, it was doing what a collaboration should do; it was getting people talking, gossiping, conspiring, and most of all, hyped.

The shoe saw people willing to camp out with an enthusiasm not previously seen in the western sneaker world. Perhaps the only other models to generate such fervour were appropriately Jordans. The overnight queue has now become almost par for the course for many releases; old hands now arrive armed with thermoses, folding chairs and sleeping bags. The Dunk was officially sold at Supreme’s New York and Japanese stores BUT as a handful of Sneaker Freakers know, Nike released a small number in Melbourne and Sydney. This in turn reflected a change in Nike’s releases in Australia; no longer did you have to wait for a friend coming back from the States to get a special pair of shoes, now they were only a tram ride away.

Regrettably, as with any shoe that generates huge demand far exceeding supply, it has been extensively faked, and caveat emptor remains the rule when seeking these out. Incredibly there were already fakes in August of 2002 – remember they weren’t released until October! The shoes have transcended their role as footwear and they’re more like bond or share certificates, continually changing hands via internet auctions. This phenomenon has of course now become commonplace for many rarer shoes.

Nike faced a challenge with their second foray into the SB market. Previous shoes like the cheekily named Air Choad failed to capture the attention of skaters. Whilst the ‘80s might have seen Nikes on the feet of skaters, ‘90s skaters eschewed corporate culture and no one represents that more in the world of sneakers than Nike. Breaking into the lucrative yet cynical subcultures/sport would have to be a battle won by PR and marketing. A point that was not lost on consumer culture activists Adbusters.

With the SB Dunk launched in March, the shoes were quickly snapped up, but whether that was by sneaker heads or skaters, one could only guess. Super-limited Alphanumeric Dunks saw Nike seek collaborators to give their product cachet, followed with more dramatic effect by teaming with skate brands Chocolate and Zoo York. But it was by teaming with Supreme that the SB Dunk hit the jackpot.
Collaborations seek to produce products that combine the strengths of the brands involved to the benefit of both parties. Nike’s power enables Supreme to produce high quality shoes in limited numbers on an economic scale that sees an affordable end product. It also brings with it the heritage of Nike and the Jordan name. Supreme’s then relatively underground / uber cool status gave the project the cultural cachet it needed. In turn, it pushed Supreme towards the over-ground from being “a kind of Gap for Mo'Wax fans” to becoming an eBay spam alert.

The popularity of the shoe and its huge secondary market value has made it and other SB Dunks, an oxymoron of the sneaker world. Whilst ostensibly shoes for skating in, their scarcity and value means that very few people actually wear them for that purpose. When Nike’s SB team members have been photographed skating in them, members of the online world have expressed awe, disbelief and even become apoplectic at the ‘sacrilege’.

The importance of image, marketing and brand identity combined with the idea of sneakers as objects that are traded and speculated on, are the key factors in making these shoes so significant. They represent facets of sneaker culture that have become characteristic of this ‘world’ over the course of the decade. It’s not about athletes, it’s not about materials or technology. It’s about image and the culture of ‘cool’. No other shoe comes close to being symbolic of this cultural climate.

But what of the actual shoe itself? Bruce Kilgore’s Dunk is an iconic shoe; its simple shape and clean lines make a wonderful canvas. Supreme’s colourway was a simple concept, extremely well executed. Make one shoe look like another. As diehard Supreme fans will be quick to point out, homage and detournment are hallmarks of Supreme’s output, and this may represent the pinnacle of their ‘80s influenced designs.

The shoes of course are in the colourways of the landmark Air Jordan 3, loved for both its design and use of elephant (aka cement aka crackle) pattern. As previously noted, Jordans were favoured by many skaters in the ‘80s via the Bones Brigade back catalogue of videos. So for Supreme to bring some meaning and background to their choice of colourways was inspired.

Whilst not the first, this shoe saw the development of the release of classic colourways/patterns associated with other models placed on different shoes. Different ‘packs’ are now released almost monthly; Mowabb, Escape etc. 2007 even saw a Dunk released inspired by the AJ4. Elephant print has become the pattern of choice lately, with no doubt many more applications to come.

I will say it again; the Supreme Dunk low is the most important shoe this decade. Not because it broke any technical boundaries or delivered previously unrealised performance in athletic footwear. Nor because it presented a new shoe – it was a model almost twenty years old at the time of its release. It was however formative in the popularity of Nike’s SB image; it saw the camping out for shoes become a weekly event, it opened up a wealth of reinterpreting shoes simply through the language of colourways, and most powerfully it demonstrated the value of brand collaboration, marketing and the power of cachet in fashion and sneakers. The Supreme Dunk low embodies the zeitgeist of sneaker culture this decade. I rest my case!

Supreme Dunk High

This Nike collaboration with Supreme was second collaboration of the Supreme Dunk. The first collaboration a Dunk Low Pro SB which came in 2 different colorways (White/cement n Black/cement) in 2002 are still highly treasured and sought across the globe.

Certainly a unique design that “heads either love or hate” Either way, there is rumoured to be around 1000 pairs of each of the three colorways (white/blue, White/red and White/orange) making them rather limited and of course highly sought after. It features zoom innersoles, full-grain leather, uppers with red leather having a crocskin appearance and really breaking up the shoe by giving it extra substance and added detail.

The gold stars also define this shoe, as they surround the red swoosh. A highly notable and obvious feature is the metal “Supreme” tag at the base of the lace.

Both red and orange Supreme Dunk Hi are for sales! Red Supreme Dunk Hi come in Sz10 and Orange Supreme Dunk Hi come in Sz9.5. Both shoes are in very mint condition, full stars, minor heel drag, does not come with extra laces.

1Asia is a manifestation of the ever growing hiphop music in Asia.

Stash Air Max Classic BW

Monome is a small Philadelphia-based hardware company that makes controllers for electronic music performance and new media art. Their first product, 40h, is an eight-by-eight grid of backlit buttons, which connects to a PC using a USB cable and the OpenSound Control protocol.
